One of my favorite things about summer is getting to grill outside often. I
modified my grill to make it easier to use from my wheelchair. Unfortunately, I can’t tell you the number of times I have wiped out my pants with a variety of liquids including olive oil, BBQ sauce, or meat and poultry juices. I have tried placing a towel on my lap but the wind flaps it around, usually into a sauce which it then immediately deposits onto my pants or shirt!
I designed this chef apron to provide a better level of protection for my clothes and it has surpassed my expectations. I can tell it’s doing its job by all the splotches and stains it has on it! The storage afforded by the three pockets has also proved to be quite handy - one pocket is a great place to hold my beer :-) I’ve found it helpful to stick a dish towel through the carabiner so I always have something to wipe my hands on.
In addition to the apron I use when I’m cooking, I have another I use when working around the house and yard. This apron keeps my pants cleaner and my lap free of debris similar to the
Lap Pack. I believe you too may find multiple uses for the aprons. It would be great if you would share your experience with the aprons and any suggested improvements you might have.
